Abstract: | A metal-organic framework, [Co2(pydc)2(bpy)2] n · 2nH2O (1) (H2pydc = pyridine-3,4-dicarboxylic acid, bpy = 4,4′-bipyridine), was synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. X-ray diffraction experiments reveal that (1) exhibits a chiral 3D metal-organic framework, which represents the rare example of 3D chiral coordination polymers containing two kinds of organic ligands. Temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibility for (1) was also studied.
