A pocket formula for fusion barriers using proximity-type potentials |

| Abstract: | By using three potentials parameterized within the proximity concept, namely, Bass 80, AW 95, and Denisov DP, a pocket formula
for fusion barriers is presented. This formula was obtained by analyzing as many as 400 reactions with mass between 15 and
296 units. Further, this pocket formula can reproduce the exact barriers within an accuracy of ±2%. A comparison with experimental
data yields close agreement. |
