Abstract: | (N-isocyanimino)triphenylphosphorane, 2-pyridinecarbaldehyde, and aromatic carboxylic acids (benzoic acid, 3-methylbenzoic acid, 4-methylbenzoic acid, 3-methoxybenzoic acid, 1-naphthoic acid, and 2-naphthoic acid) undergo a 1:1:1 addition reaction under mild conditions in a one-pot reaction to afford novel series of fully substituted 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives in good yields. |
