Abstract:Asymmetric synthesis of 1,4-dideoxy-1,4-imino-d-ribitol was achieved utilizing the stereoselective addition of allylphenylsulfone to a chiral N-sulfinyl-2-furfuryl imine and ring-closing metathesis reactions as key steps.
