Abstract: | Paraequilibrium is a kinetically constrained state in which only mobile elements share equivalent chemical potentials in each phase. When phase diagrams are graphically formulated on the paraequilibrium scheme, unique topological characteristics can be envisaged. In view of their practical importance in alloy design, it is imperative to present related mathematical basis and graphical peculiarities in order to interpret practical implications generated from computational thermodynamics. In the end, various isothermal and isoplethal sections are provided, so that the topological features discussed can be examined. |
