Abstract: | Raman spectroscopy of gaseous molecules, while not a routine technique, can provide a useful means of probing selected processes: for example, molecular conformation studies and combustion systems. The Raman trace scattering spectrum, obtainable from a suitable combination of the polarized components of the scattered light, is especially well suited for quantitative measurements. |
