Multicoherence of finite quotients and one-point compactifications

Let X be a connected, locally connected, regular T₁-space. The purpose of this paper is to prove that the multicoherence degree of the space obtained from X by an identification of two different points is the multicoherence degree of X plus one. This will allow us to obtain some ways to calculate the multicoherence degree of the one-point compactification of X when X is locally compact.
