Abstract: | Computer simulation and experimental testing of the main characteristics of a waveguide acoustooptic device for the real-time spectral analysis of broadband optical signals are discussed. A mathematical model of such a device is similar to the experimentally tested mathematical model of a waveguide acoustooptic spectral analyzer of radio signals. Two modifications of the spectrum analyzer based on Y-cut lithium niobate are developed and numerically studied. These modifications make it possible to process broadband optical signals in the red and IR ranges. The parameters of the devices are chosen based on real technological and topological requirements for the elements. Comparative analysis shows that the theoretical data on the first modification are in good agreement with the corresponding experimental results. |
