Abstract: | This note describes an interactive graphics package, devised by the author, which may assist the student in his understanding of Fourier series, and in particular the convergence of such series to the represented function. The student must still carry out his mathematical analysis to determine the Fourier coefficients and suitably code into FORTRAN. The level of programming required is usually attained early in an undergraduate course. The ideas and graphical display are illustrated by examples. |
