Method to estimate the reflection-induced retardance of bulk glass optical current sensing head

Abstract:A novel method used for the estimate of the reflection-induced retardance in a bulk glass current sensing head employing just a polarizer and an analyzer is proposed, the measuring optical set-up is given, the principle is theoretically analyzed, the uncertainty is calculated and the mathematical expression of it is given. Finally, an application example of the method is shown.
