A new benchmark for transient analysis of laminated plate elements

Conclusions In this paper, a new benchmark was presented to verify the finite element method programs for analysis of composite element impact problems. The benchmark presented possesses a double contact between the impactor and the laminated plate. The results of the analytical solution were presented, and compared with the results obtained by a commercially available FEM-program.
