| Abstract: | Diastereoselective first total synthesis of parvistone C 1 and C8-epimer 1a are described. The key features of our synthesis include Sharpless asymmetric dihydroxylation, stereoselective aryl Grignard reactions, Still–Gennari olefination, and intramolecular cyclization. |
