Two sides to supramolecular drug delivery systems

Although still in its infancy, there is a rapidly increasing interest in the development of supramolecular drug delivery systems (SDDSs). As chemists, the most challenging task ahead of us is to narrow the gap between SDDSs development in the lab, and clinical drug carriers. Only then will we achieve our ultimate goal of the successful translation of SDDSs to life saving medicines.
