| Abstract: | This paper reviews the synthesis and fluid properties of several associating polymer systems. Both hydrocarbon-soluble and water-soluble associating polymers are described. The hydrocarbon-soluble associating polymers are based upon functional poly-octene copolymers. The water-soluble associating polymers are based upon polyacrylamide polymers containing hydrophobic groups. |
