| Abstract: | In light of the analogy in chemical and biological behavior between non\|essential ions and essential ions, the chemical species of vanadium compounds under physiological condition and their physical chemical characters, which are important for the biological effects are reviewed. The mechanisms of hypoglycemic activity of insulin mimic vanadium compounds and development of anti diabetes drugs are also introduced. |
