| Abstract: | C-Glycosyl amino acids represent stable mimics of monomeric units within natural O-linked glycoproteins. Olefin cross-metathesis has been used to provide alkene precursors for a mercury(II)-mediated cyclization, yielding alpha-C-glucosyl serine and alanine. |
