大学英语四、六级统考改革之我见

摘    要:教育部关于改革大学英语四、六级统考的方案,引起高校各有关人士的关注。笔者通过对部分高校有关领导、教师及学生的问卷调查,比照历年出版的教学大纲所设定的教学目标,反思统考实施十多年来对高校及师生的教学实践所起的导向作用,进而探讨分析了统考继续存在的利弊,并对如何更合理地借鉴这一考试机制,推出适应社会需要的考核体系提出了建议。

Abstract:The proposal for the reform of CET 4 and CET 6 by the Ministry of Education has drawn considerable attention in institutions of higher learning nationwide.Based on an analysis of the data collected from questionnaires done recently among presidents,teachers and students in some colleges and universities,a review of the teaching objectives outlined by the different editions of College English Syllabus since 1985 and retrospection on the strong undesirable backwash the national testing system of CET 4 and CET 6 has effected on the teaching and learning of College English,this paper examines how the revised tests may remain misleading for both learning and teaching.As a more sensible and applicable alternative,it puts forward suggestions about a new evaluation system to meet the real demands of the society today and tomorrow.
