Numerical calculation of the entanglement entropy for scalar field in dilaton spacetimes

Abstract:Using coupled harmonic oscillators model, we numerical analyze the entanglement entropy of massless scalar field in Gafinkle–Horowitz–Strominger (GHS) dilaton spacetime and Gibbons–Maeda (GM) dilaton spacetime. By numerical fitting, we find that the entanglement entropy of the dilaton black holes receive contribution from dilaton charge and is proportional to the area of the event horizon. It is interesting to note that the results of numerical fitting are coincide with ones obtained by using brick wall method and Euclidean path integral approach.
