| Abstract: | An analysis of the intrapulse Raman scattering (IRS) influence on the modulational instability in optical fibres is presented. The extrema of the spatial growth rates are analytically determined in two characteristic regions of instability. These results may help the analysis of femtosecond pulse propagation. |
