| Abstract: | A simple and efficient method for the synthesis of functionalized spirochromenes is explained using protic guanidinium ionic liquid as a catalyst under solvent-free conditions at room temperature. This procedure is simple, clean, and excellent yields are obtained in short reaction times. |
