Effect of optical pumping on the thulium absorption spectrum saturation and width

Abstract:The numerical solution to optical Bloch equations for the transition F g = 4 ? F e = 5 with a wavelength of 410.6 nmin the thulium atom is presented. The absorption spectrum saturation and narrowing effects due to optical pumping are considered in detail.
