| Abstract: | The reaction of Au(III) with phenothiazine has been studied and a reaction mechanism proposed. Optimal conditions for the reaction have been found and a new spectrophotometric method has been developed for determination of Au(III). The method is advantageous in its simplicity and reproducibility. Gold can be determined in the concentration range 2-20 mug/ml. |
