The influence of strain on the photoluminescence from pure CsI

Studies of the influence of strain on the photoluminescence from pure CsI at room temperatures showed that the luminescence from strained CsI at room temperature before cooling (RTBC) is similar to that of the underformed CsI at room temperature after cooling to lower temperatures (RTAC). We also observed the step-like dependence of the luminescence intensity of the strained sample on the exciting wavelength. Several interpretations of the results are suggested.
