| Abstract: | Guided wave polaritons (GWP) of thin crystals have been studied by near- forward Raman scattering experiments on GaP crystals of ≈ 5–35 μm thickness. The dispersion of these modes agrees well with theoretical predictions, but their Raman scattering intensities cannot be described completely by bulk Raman tensors. We discuss the temperature dependence of the observed frequencies of the modes. |
