Abstract: | This paper reviews how certain problems in solid state physics have been clarified by low temperature nuclear orientation and nuclear magnetic resonance of oriented nuclei. The advantages of these techniques are discussed; a brief survey of recent progress in traditional applications is given; new developments are discussed, and, finally, future trends are suggested. |
