IR-Spectroscopic Study of Changes in Silica Surface Structure on Thermal Dehydroxylation and Rehydroxylation in Water Vapors

Abstract:Amount, properties, state of silica siloxane, silanol surface structures can be expedientlyregulated by varying the regime of thermal dehydroxylation and the amount of chemisorbed water. The obtained data can be used in the development of the procedures for the synthesis and stabilization of nanostructures and layers of chemical modifiers on the silica surface.
