| Abstract: | Using an idealized two-dimensional model we consider the transient response when particular currents or voltages are applied
to an infinite solenoid encircling a homogeneous cylinder. The results may be used to determine the degree and type of changes
in the bulk electrical characteristics of a cylindrical test object as compared to a standard. |
