Rotational energies of plar symmetric-top molecules in high electric fields

A method based on hypervirial theorems and perturbation theory is developed for calculating rotational energies of polar symmetric-top molecules in uniform electric fields. This procedure also provides expectation values of other physical observables such as the effective dipole moment.
