| Abstract: | Photocycloadducts from dl-piperitone and 1,1-dimethoxyethylene afforded bicyclo[3.2.1]oct-6-en-8-one derivatives under glc conditions in excellent yields. The synthesis of the title sesquiterpenes was accomplished using the bridged bicyclic compounds as intermediates. |
