| Abstract: | 3-Carbethoxy-2-methyl-I-azirine (IIa) and 3-carbomethoxy-2-phenyl-I-azirine (IIb) react with hydrogen fluoride under mild conditions, to give respectively the corresponding alkyl β-alkyl and β-aryl β,β-difluoro-α-aminopropionaes (IIIa) and (IIIb). |
