Role of interlayer M k atoms and H2O molecules in the structure formation of M k (VUO6) k · nH2O uranovanadates

Abstract:M k (VUO6) k · nH2O uranovanadates of alkali (Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs), alkaline-earth (Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba), 3d transition (Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn), and rare-earth (Y, La, Ln) elements were prepared by precipitation from solutions under hydrothermal conditions and in solid-phase reactions. The composition and structure of these compounds and the role of M k atoms and H2O molecules in the formation of their structure were studied by X-ray diffraction, IR-spectroscopy, thermal analysis, and chemical analysis.
