A Proposal Approaching the Reform of Higher Education

An account is given of the existing academic system for the institutes of higher education, which is no longer in conformity with the requirement of the society. Education as a trade must be productive and marketable. First of all, the academic system should be reformed: to carry out a uniform credit system; no limit to the studying period, allowing intervals and resumption, and transfer; no restriction of age; to change an academic year into semesters; to found nightschools; and to keep high standard at graduation but not so strict at admission.
