Abstract: | Model nuclear matter calculations are performed using two versions of the Brueckner theory (standard lowest order theory and a version with self-consistent “physical” onshell insertions in particle lines) and three Green's function theories (Λ 00,Λ 10 and Galitskii's ladder approximation). Ground state properties are derived using a strongs-wave nonlocal separable nucleon-nucleon potential. We investigate the differences between the results obtained using different theories, stemming from different treatment of the exclusion principle and of dispersive effects of the medium. The effect of the off-shell self-consistency in theΛ 10 theory is found to be important. |
