Abstract:Light-storing-emitting material composed of SrAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+ was synthesized by wet combustion method. With common spectral signature, the fluorescent spectra of the sample show that its component and structure are the same as those of the dry method made strontium aluminate samples, which have the same exciting and emitting spectral characteristics. The room-temperature fine phosphorescent spectrum of the sample shows obviously two peaks at 506nm and 535nm, with the intensity of 506nm higher than that of 535nm. This is ascribed to the splitting of the outer 5 d orbitals of Eu2+ in the SrAl204 lattice. The 5 d orbitals of Eu2 + split into two groups, e and fa. The lower energy level e contains two orbitals dz2 and dx2-y2, and the higher energy level fa consists of three orbitals dxy, dxz and dyz. Therefore two phosphorescent peaks 506nm and 535nm are detected, and the intensity of the former is bigger than the latter.
