Abstract:We report herein a mild and efficient oxidative radical intermolecular phosphonotrifluoromethylthiolation of unactivated alkenes with good functional group tolerance. The reaction operates via a radical pathway involving oxidative generation of phosphonyl radicals and umpolung radical coupling of silver trifluoromethanethiolate.
