| Abstract: | An effective diastereoselective [3+2] annulation of 1,4-dithiane-2,5-diol to trifluoromethyl-substituted styrylisoxazoles catalyzed by DABCO is described, giving highly functionalized tetrahydrothiophenes containing trifluoromethylated quaternary center in excellent yields and diastereoselectivities. |
