| Abstract: | A synthetic approach toward the phostriecin, an antitumor natural product is described. The key features of the present synthesis are Wittig reaction, synthesis of homoallylic alcohol using Brown’s protocol (alkoxyallylboration) and RCM for the creation of unsaturated lactone moiety of phostriecin. |
