Abstract: | A convenient, inexpensive and effective approach to the synthesis of 2-o-cyanoaryl oxazole derivatives has been developed. Generally, the copper-mediated cyclization/coupling reactions afforded corresponding 2-cyanoaryl oxazoles and oxazolines in moderate to excellent yields.
