| Abstract: | 3,3′‐(Sulfonyldi‐1,4‐phenylene)bis(4‐substituted aminosulfonyl)sydnones ( 7a , 7b , 7c , 7d , 7e , 7f , 7g , 7h , 7i , 7j ) were synthesized from the starting material 4,4′‐diaminodiphenylsulfone. The synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, NMR, and elemental analysis. Some of the compounds were effectively active against Gram‐positive bacteria (Streptococcus pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus) and Gram‐negative bacteria (Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa). |
