| Abstract: | Gasometric and electrometric methods for determining oxygen in the study of photosensitized reactions are compared. The oxygen electrode must be calibrated against known solutions similar in composition to the solutions used in the reactions that are studied. The electrode can be used to study initial reaction rates whereas this is impossible for fast reactions with the Warburg apparatus. |
