| Abstract: | Antimony trichloride in a boiling aqueous solution reacts quantitatively with alkali yielding the trioxide Sb2O3. This can be employed for alkalimetric titration of antimony trichloride. When the method is combined with the iodimetric titration of antinony(lll), free hydrochloric acid can be determined in presence of the trichloride. |
