Synthesis and transformations of hydrazine substituted 6‐fluoro derivatives of 1,3,4‐thiadiazolo[3,2‐a]pyrimidine

Abstract:2‐Alkyl and 2‐arylhydrazine derivatives of 5H‐2‐R‐6‐fluoro‐7‐methyl‐1,3,4‐thiadiazolo3,2‐a]pyrimidin‐5‐one were prepared by reaction of 5H‐2‐bromo‐6‐fluoro‐7‐methyl‐1,3,4‐thiadiazolo3,2‐a]pyrimidin‐5‐one with hydrazine derivatives. A convenient procedure was developed for the preparation of new hydrazine derivatives of 5H‐2‐R‐6‐fluoro‐7‐methyl‐1,3,4‐thiadiazolo3,2‐a]pyrimidin‐5‐one. J. Heterocyclic Chem., (2011).
