| Abstract: | 1,1-Dialkylhydrazines after oxidation with mercury(II) sulfate in aqueous sulfuric acid split off one alkyl group as aldehyde and this reaction can be utilized for quantitative determination of 1,1-dialkylhydrazines by photometric estimation of the released aldehyde. The lower detection limit is 0.1–0.2 μmoles 1,1-dialkylliydrazine. The applicability and specificity of the analytical method are discussed. |
