| Abstract: | The relationship between heterogeneous and homogeneous nucleation of sallts from solution has been examined. These concepts enable both new and older published data to be interpreted in terms of the Volmer-Becker-Döring theory. The results and some of their implications in surface chemistry and crystallization processes are discussed. |
