| Abstract: | The effects of the surfactants l-menthol, dl-camphor and thymol on the faradaic reduction processes of Pb(II) and Cd(II) in sodium nitrate have been studied. The diffusion currents decrease in the presence of these surfactants and deceleration of the electrode process is observed which is substantiated by the data fromi-t curves and cyclic voltammograms. Reduction appears to be quasireversible and the rate constants have been evaluated byGellings' method.
