| Abstract: | This paper presents a review of the work on the molecular design of oxygen containing heterocyclic liquid crystals for nematic liquid crystal display applications and examines in some detail the correlations between the molecular structure of liquid crystalline oxygen containing heterocyclic derivatives and their physico-chemical and electro-optical properties. |
