The recently discovered small non coding RNAs like small interfering RNAs, micro RNAs and repeat associated RNAs regulate diverse cellular pathways like differentiation. Even though small RNAs are involved in so many different processes they were ignored for a long time. Now we are just beginning to understand the complexity of this regulation but the exact mechanisms are still unknown. This review provides an insight into the challenging world of small RNAs.
