Zusammenfassung Die Möglichkeiten zum Einsatz von Verdünnungsautomaten in der Flammenphotometrie von Na, K und Ca wurden untersucht und der Zeitaufwand und die Genauigkeit bei Verwendung dieser Geräte mit der herkömmlichen Arbeitsweise verglichen.Ein weiterer Automationsschritt für die Messung stellt der Einsatz eines Digitalvoltmeters mit gekoppeltem Drucker dar, der das Ergebnis in Konzentrationseinheiten ausdruckt. Außerdem wird auf die Fehlermöglichkeiten bei der Verwendung eines Probenwechslers hingewiesen.Schließlich wird die Integration mehrerer Geräte zu einem halbautomatisch ablaufenden Prozeß bei der Sulfonamidbestimmung gezeigt und die dabei erhaltenen Ergebnisse im Vergleich zur manuellen Methode diskutiert.

Automation possibilities of photometric procedures

The applicability of automatic dilutors for the flame-photometric estimation of sodium, potassium and calcium is investigated. The time required and the accuracy of the measurement are compared with the regular method. A further step of automation in this measuring procedure is the use of a digital voltmeter combined with a digital print-out system, which prints the results in concentration units of the original sample.In addition, sources of error are indicated when an automatic sampler is utilized.Finally, the combination of dispensers and dilutors with some other equipment, into a semi-automated system is shown and the results of sulfonamide estimations according to Bratton and Marshall obtained with this system are discussed in comparison with the same method carried out manually.
