Periodic Modes in the Forced Nonlinear Vibrations of Filled Cylindrical Shells with an Initial Deflection

Abstract:The features of the forced nonlinear vibrations of imperfect (with initial deflections) cylindrical shells fully filled with a fluid are studied. It is established that apart from the traditional single-wave deformation modes, complex modes such as traveling circumferential waves may exist in the resonance zones of shells.
