Abstract:Native mass spectrometry has become one of the important tools for characterizing protein structures.Compared with traditional electrospray emitter(ESI emitter),submicron electrospray emitters have various characteristics such as changing the charge-state distribution of ions and ion desalting,which could be directly used to analyze the protein structures in the physiological environment.In this review,the characteristics and applications of submicron electrospray emitters in native mass spectrometry analysis are discussed and summarized,and their future developments are also envisioned.
